It just takes one!

It just takes one person to make a difference in the life of someone else. Doesn’t sound like much but it’s everything when you are a child!

The one ... is everything. We ALL need that ONE.

Each child deserves at least one! If not a few in their circle... ready and willing to do what it takes to raise a child to become a functioning successful member of society.

Realistically, it has been said it takes a village to raise a child. ... but for now... I’ll focus on the one. The ONE person that sees the potential in a young life when others don’t see it.

In this journey I elected to be one of the people to stand beside these kids because I believed in their success. I believed they deserved the best possible opportunities and with that they would succeed with best possible outcomes.

There’s nothing special about me. I’m a regular person, with a Lot of responsibility! I just chose to care more about their success than ALL the excuses or reasons we had to fail. I made a choice to care more.

Care at any cost. ... yes, the costs have been huge.

Failure shouldn’t be on the table when it comes to kids. Failure shouldn’t be an option. Even when you stand alone, even when family, friends, society and your own government turn away. I stood strong... sometimes shaking like a leaf. But I have held my ground.

I have held my ground because I believe in their success. I believe all children have equal right to have at least one person in their corner fighting for their potential long before the child knows their potential or the meaning of the word.

As much as a child is one caring adult away from success so is every person on this earth. We are all one CARING person away from accomplishing something amazing.

I will work everyday to share with those in Government the need for change, the need to see children and families in crisis with a clear view. The need to remember the heart of the matter ... and that’s people. The need to be accountable when we make mistakes, the need to CARE more, and policy less.

I will care because I see the potential and success that comes from fixing what is broken for our future. Every human is one caring person away from something great!
